Last week, I left at 11:45 PM on Thursday towards Akron, OH. I got there at 6:30 AM due to an hour nap at a rest stop and then waited another hour. There, I finally met Gavin.

It's funny how much your life can change when you love somebody. Before, I would've never even considered driving for that long and then sitting in the car for another 5 hours to head to Michigan. But I did all the same, because I'm in love. The entire weekend was...indescribable. I remember it, very intensely, in feelings and flashes of memory. Coming home, everything felt so dull and empty.

He's coming to visit me in April, bypassing the long drives by plane. May, I'm moving in some of my things to his dad's house. Come June and graduation, I'm leaving York for at least a very long time to move in with him for the year while I save up money for college and take a break. I can only imagine how wonderful everything will be when I step into the room we'll call ours. We're even thinking about adopting a kitten.

My life feels utterly out of my control, yet as if I'm the master of it. And I'm truly happy.
